Rotterdam – Visit the city!
In addition to your conference visit, make time to see the versatility of the city Rotterdam! Two years ago, the city was even named fifth in the list of ‘Best of Travel: top 10 cities’.
Of origin, Rotterdam is a port city in the west of the Netherlands. For a long period of time the Port of Rotterdam was the largest in the world. Nowadays, it is still the largest and most important one in Europe. Later, Rotterdam became known for its modern architecture. The most famous example is the Erasmusbrug (bridge), and the striking yellow Cube Houses by designer Piet Blom.
The Markthal should also not be missing from this list. A modern architectural design on the outside, colorful artwork on the inside -and all while you can enjoy over 4600 m² of restaurants, food shops and catering.
